License Agreement

What you get with a CraftRoq Pro license.

This agreement explains what you get with a CraftRoq Pro license. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

The code is GPL

All CraftRoq plugins are licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. You can use, study, modify and share the code as the GPL allows.

What a license key gives you

  • Plugin updates and downloads from the CraftRoq update service.
  • Support by email.
  • For the number of sites in your plan, for 12 months from the date the license is issued.

Sites and activations

  • Each website domain you activate counts as one site, whichever plan you have.
  • You can move a license to another site: deactivate it in the plugin or in your account at portal.craftroq.com, then activate it on the new site.
  • An Agency license covers every CraftRoq Pro plugin, on the number of sites stated for the plan.
  • You can use your license on sites you own, or on client sites you build and manage.

When a license expires

The plugin stays installed and keeps the version you have. Updates, downloads and support stop until you renew. Renewing keeps the same key.

What the plugin sends to us

To activate, check and update your license, the plugin connects to portal.craftroq.com and sends the license key, your site’s domain and the plugin, WordPress and PHP versions. Responses are digitally signed so the plugin can verify they really come from CraftRoq. No site content or visitor data is sent. See our Privacy Policy.

Not allowed

  • Sharing, publishing or reselling license keys.
  • Using one key on more sites than your plan allows.
  • Bypassing or tampering with license checks to get updates without a valid license.

Keys used this way may be suspended. This only affects the license service — never your rights in the code under the GPL.

Transfers

To move a license to someone else, for example when you hand a client site over, email [email protected]. We transfer it to the new owner’s email and the old owner loses access.

No warranty

As the GPL states, the software comes without any warranty. See section 11 of the Terms of Service.
